Why B.LIS?
Information is required in day-to-day life, and it is
what keeps us going. Thus, it is important for professionals related to the
field to pursue relevant degrees or skills for libraries and other types of
information centers. It is here that B.LIS comes into the picture. In recent
years the techniques of library services have evolved, and hence libraries are
now better managed, organized, planned, and administered. The degree course is
a structured curriculum that offers specialized training in librarianship. It
has become the need of the hour to pursue systematic training for modern
libraries.
Objective
The aim of the course is to educate the students on fundamental laws, basic principles, and professional ethics related to librarianship. It trains the students to manage the libraries. The course offers basic knowledge of computers and applications for library and information activities. The course prepares students to handle information challenges in the future.
