Why B.LIS?

Information is required in day-to-day life, and it is what keeps us going. Thus, it is important for professionals related to the field to pursue relevant degrees or skills for libraries and other types of information centers. It is here that B.LIS comes into the picture. In recent years the techniques of library services have evolved, and hence libraries are now better managed, organized, planned, and administered. The degree course is a structured curriculum that offers specialized training in librarianship. It has become the need of the hour to pursue systematic training for modern libraries. 



The aim of the course is to educate the students on fundamental laws, basic principles, and professional ethics related to librarianship. It trains the students to manage the libraries. The course offers basic knowledge of computers and applications for library and information activities. The course prepares students to handle information challenges in the future.

MLIS impart critical thinking and reflexivity about professional practice as managers of libraries and information services and an understanding of research methods and activities of research organizations.
The B.A. programme is designed for open and distance learning programmes to help people to develop a dynamic personality for them as this will help them to engage in multiple activities.
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is an undergraduate degree in computer application awarded in India after completion of three years course.
M.A aims to contribute to the professional development of students who want to acquire an understanding of the teaching and learning in specific academic and professional contexts.
